Yemeni Coffee farmers

Mukhtar Al-Khanshli, an American Yemeni is currently in Yemen with a mission to give life to the coffee industry in Yemen. Yemen was the first export of coffee beans in the western city of “Mocha.” In this picture, Mokhtar is going over the importance of pruning coffee trees with the Al-Wifaaq Coffee Cooperative in the Bani Ismail region in Northern Yemen. He says that, “They are some of the most generous and beautiful people I have ever met.”
